Sculptor Lauren Was and painter Adam Eckstrom work together to create the collaboration Ghost of a Dream. The recently married couple live and work out of Wassaic, New York. They work with a broad variety of materials to create visually striking pieces with complexity and depth. Some of the materials they use include wood, plexiglass, mirrors, romance novels, office lighting, trophy parts, and discarded lottery tickets.

In a recent interview with Vice Magazine Lauren explains how the idea to work with lottery tickets developed:
"We started picking them up thinking that they were somebody's lost wish; That they were this hope and dream that they had and then they tossed it away. We started thinking about what those dreams actually meany and what happens if you collected enough of those to make the dream into a reality"
