Anyone in the world can send me their portrait, me and my team will print it and send it back to you (for FREE if you cant afford it). Then people will paste it (or not) wherever they feel like... since the beginning we sent 140 000 photos to more than 100 countries and actions took place in 10000 cities... This week we build a photobooth truck where we can print your photo in 5 seconds and you can paste it right away ! Look for #insideoutnyc ! I ll be giving you the locations in real time! Here we are in the Bronx right now...

JR: live from.the Bronx : Here we go... participation that is what its all about! In a couple of hours more than 100 people took their photos and pasted their portraits on the wall of their neighborhood. Everyone get involved ...and of course the kids love it ! #insideoutnyc @insideoutproject !

120,000 POSTERS SENT IN OVER 100 COUNTRIES

INSIDE OUT is a large-scale participatory art project that transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work. Everyone is challenged to use black and white photographic portraits to discover, reveal and share the untold stories and images of people around the world. These digitally uploaded images will be made into posters and sent back to the project’s co-creators for them to exhibit in their own communities. These exhibitions will be documented, archived and viewable virtually.
Want to bring the Inside Out Project to your community? All you have to do is gather a minimum of 5 people and send us an email with your name, the location of your project, and the date on which you would like your project to take place. Email: jr@insideoutproject.net
