The historic mural location at Bowery & Houston in the Lower East Side has been beautifully covered once again. This time by MSK crew's Revok and POSE. Following in the footsteps of many notable artists such as RETNAKenny ScharfBarry McGeeShepard Fairey, AIKO, Os Gemeos, JR, Keith Haring, CRASH and Faile, the guys accepted the project but took a little bit of a different approach.

In the span of 6 days, most work being done during the evening when not too many people are passing by and possibly interrupting the process, the two worked diligently to create one of the most interesting murals that wall has ever seen. Unfortunately while successfully avoiding the crowd, they were instead haunted by cruel heat and intense rainstorms but like most dedicated artist they stuck it out and finished the project in tasteful fashion.

When the piece was finally complete, it turned out more beautiful than any of us had expected. The concept of text and imagery combining to create a collage with clashing colors and unbalanced patterns makes us go crazy! The mural pays homage to writers that have passed away and, to us, truly represents how far the graffiti and street art movement has come and where it could go from here.
