Cartoonist Alex Schubert
Alex Schubert, from Kansas City, starting drawing very funny and original comics about 4 years ago. In 2011, he drew a comic book called Blobby Boys and following that, he started drawing comics for Nick Gazin at VICE. Inspired by cartoonists John Porcellino and Sammy Harkhamalong, along with being a big fan of VICE’s comic section, he tries to get as much of his out there as possible. Last year, he made Blobby Boys action figures with sculptor Joseph Harmon. Another zine Schubert has done includes The Dudes. His work continues to inspire other cartoonists, mentioning his work as “unpretentious” and “intentional”.
