In 2009, filmmakers James Holman and Ali Drummond discovered a small group of skaters living in Myanmar struggling to pursue their passion of skating. They returned there in October of 2012 after hearing that the only skatepark in Yangon was torn down in November of 2011.
Youth of Yangon is a 12 minute documentary about the passion, skill and commitment this group of young people have for skateboarding, and their struggle to have a space to skate. The film is available on Vimeo on Demand. $1 for a 72 hour rental and only $2.50 to own it.
