East Village artist and graffiti art collector Martin Wong, brings his first exhibition of works on paper and canvas—in aerosol, ink, and other mediums—to New York City.
 
Wong died in 1999 of AIDS but before his passing, in 1994, he donated his collection to the City Museum and is open to the public. The exhibition City as Canvas: Graffiti Art from the Martin Wong Collection includes over 150 works on canvas and other media, along with photographs of graffiti writing long erased from subways and buildings.

Admission to the Museum of the City of New York includes all exhibitions currently on view. The Museum is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
