Death Takes No Bribe Watch

Japanese watchmaker Hajime Asaoka has collaborated with pioneering superflat artist Takashi Murakami to create this truly stunning and unique piece titles "Death Takes No Bribe". The piece is a tourbillon watch featuring flower and skull imagery in Murakami’s trademark style. (A tourbillon is an addition to the mechanics of a watch escapement which aims to counter the effects of gravity by mounting the escapement and balance wheel in a rotating cage, to negate the effect of gravity when the timepiece (and thus the escapement) is stuck in a certain position.) Asaoka will unveil the timepiece at the Academie Horlogere des Createurs Independants’ (AHCI) 2013 watch fair in Basel, Switzerland.
