Big news for fans of the film and any fan of graffiti who is not as familiar with it. 

Style Wars, the iconic 1983 film following NYC graffiti and Hip-Hop culture, celebrates its 30th anniversary with a special screening event!

A free screening of the 1983 documentary Style Wars which explores the subculture of New York’s young graffiti writers and break dancers, showing their activities and aspirations and the social and aesthetic controversies surrounding New York graffiti.The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the filmmaker, Henry Chalfant, sculptor/painter Carlos “Mare139” Rodriguez, and moderated by painter/DJ iona rozeal brown.
