He sings and plays rhythm guitar for heavy metal band Baroness, as well as doing the artwork for their album covers. His name is John Baizley from Savannah Georgia, and he is truly a multi-talented interdisciplinary artist. Aside from doing the cover art for his own band, Baizley has done covers for a number of bands including Skeletonwitch, Flight of the Concords, and Black Tusk to name but a few. His work is extremely detailed and intricate often using the female form in a surreal setting to tell a story. "My goal is to find a narrative and theoretic balance without seeming either too overtly pretentious or too simple and comical" (John Dyer Baizley). Baizley's works were influenced by those of Alphonse Mucha.
