Next weekend marks the biggest 3 days in NYC Longboarding.

The Broadway Bomb, a massive free for all group skate with thousands of riders, is next Saturday, October 12th. This huge annual event draws riders from all over the east coast out for some fun. To make the most of it we got some info on 3 Longboarding events going on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to make it a weekend long shred session.

Saturday - October 12th 2013

Saturday will be the big one! THE BROADWAY BOMB! This year's push race down one of the city's most famous streets looks to be the biggest! Last year nearly 2,000 people came out to race through the streets of New York.

The massive free-for-all group skate will run from 155th and Broadway to the statue of the Charging Bull on Bowling Green in Downtown Manhattan. It looks like there will undoubtably be more police on sight, but thankfully they are said to "escort" the participants down Broadway.

Once the race is over, everyone's heading to East River Park (near the 10th St footbridge) for some more fun. BBQ, give-aways, and whole ton of enjoyment with some good people. You really get an idea of how many people come out to this event once you see everyone chillin' in the same spot. It's pretty amazing.

Check out this video from last year's bomb:

Dark Tower
155th and Broadway

Hopefully, if you're still alive on Sunday... or not too hung over to function, you can make it to Steve Kong's legendary Post-Bomb Slide Jam, hosted in partnership with NYC’s very own Earthwing Skateboards.
The event will be going down at 11AM. There's no heats, no divisions and no places, just straight smiles and shredding! They will be giving out prizes based on their own obscure criteria and possibly have raffles so look forward to that.

We also heard that Kai Monroe will be bringing a kicker, so bring your A-game and join in on the action! The entry fee is $10 and remember that this is a charity event and all proceeds will be going to an organization.
