So... you know how you buy a new phone, keep it for a year or two, then somehow, someway, something just STOPS working? Not the entire phone, but that ONE malfunction you just cant figure out how to fix? Your "home" button gives out on you, volume buttons don't work, one speaker blows out... It's annoying isnt it? And what are your options? Either you deal with it or you bring it into a store that'll most likely over-charge you to fix this small problem.

Never fear! Phonebloks is here! (insert corny laugh)

Just watch the video below and see if Phonebloks would be convenient for you:

"Phoneblok is made of detachable bloks. The bloks are connected to the base which locks everything together into a solid phone. If a blok breaks you can easily replace it; if it's getting old just upgrade."

For more information you can visit this site.

UPDATE: Motorola has teamed with Phonebloks team to create there own version of the "build-it-yourself" smartphone.
